Award-winning Cabourg

29 October 2020

On October 29 at the Hotel de l'Industrie in Paris, the City of Cabourg had the honor of receiving the first ex aequo Prix Geste d'Or-Heritech prize, awarded for the first time with the aim of distinguishing the trades digital heritage.

This ceremony closes the events of the HériTech Forum, a new event created this last autumn with the initiative of the Department of Haute-Loire. During this forum, the City of Cabourg and the Sunmetron Agency was able to present the project of the Villa du Temps retrouvé alongside the agency of Sunmetron architecture – representative of the project management for the rehabilitation works of the villa – and the Noovae studio – member of the project management group.

The Heritech Forum, placed under the High Patronage of the President of the Republic, lasted two days, during which 150 elected officials, heritage experts and tourism specialists met in Puy-en-Velay to discuss with their peers. Exhibitors from the digital sector came to present their achievements and their know-how in the service of the protection and enhancement of heritage sites.

The Geste d’Or-Heritech Prize was awarded by the Deputy Managing Director of Geste d’Or, an association created almost 15 years ago with the aim of promoting good practices in the building, heritage, construction trades, and territory planning.

This distinction crowns the work carried out by the City of Cabourg and the project management group throughout the rehabilitation work of the Villa Bon Abri and the good use made of digital technology as a tool to help take decision, projection of restorations and scenography elements, and information to the public and the residents of Cabourg.
