The Villa du Temps retrouvé welcomes you in group, for a normal visit or a guided tour.

GUIDED TOUR WITH THE VILLA’S TOUR GUIDES

 

Come and discover the museum’s collections in the company of a tour guide with a visit adapted to all visitors. Each group can choose a theme for the visit.

 

Available themes for guided tours:

 

  • ‘Discover the Belle Époque’ – a guided tour of the Parcours Belle Époque exhibition: immerse yourself in history with a guided tour offering the keys to understanding the Belle Époque (1870-1914), from its art of living to its effervescent artistic creation.

 

  • ‘The World of Marcel Proust’ –  a Proustian guided tour in the Parcours Belle Époque exhibition: follow the guide on a tour that reveals Proust’s relationships with artists and the personalities of the period who inspired the author of In Search of Lost Time.

 

  • ‘The Orient Express, a modern epic (1883-1918)’ – guided tour of the temporary exhibition: This tour offers an insight into the fascinating history of the train, which was born in 1883 from the visionary dream of Georges Nagelmackers. Through archives and iconic objects, the exhibition traces the creation of this luxury train that connected Paris to Constantinople and captured the collective imagination.

 

Practical Information

Adult groups consist of a minimum of 10 people. Beyond, 20 people several groups will be trained. Each visit lasts 1 hour and allows access to other exhibitions at the end of the guided tour.

Price: 10€ per person

Reservations must be made at least 2 weeks before the desired date of the visit.


VISIT IN GROUP (NO TOUR GUIDE)

 

A self-guided tour lasts on average an hour and a half. For the comfort of the visit, groups of more than 20 people are asked to form small groups.

“RIGHT TO SPEAK”

 

Permission must be acquired to have the right to speak publicly in the museum and is granted to tour guides with a professional card with a permit from the French Ministry of Culture or Minister of Tourism. Once authorisation has been acquired, they will be allowed to speak publicly in the museum and exhibition rooms. In addition to professional tour guides, teachers are allowed to speak to their students in the museum.

 

Any person wishing to speak during a group tour must submit a written request for permission to speak to the Villa du Temps retrouvé. Conducting guided tours without prior authorization for a group is prohibited.
